Presented on May 16, 2024

at the Phillip Burton Federal Building & United States Courthouse
San Francisco, California

Please join us on Thursday, May 16th, for a fascinating program on the Civil Rights Act, which became law in 1964.  Through an interview by Judge William Alsup, we will hear from Judge Thelton Henderson (Ret.), the first Black attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice, about the tumultuous period leading up to the passage of the Act.  Judge Alsup, US Attorney Ismail “Izzy” Ramsey, and Justice Teri Jackson of the California Court of Appeal will then discuss civil rights today and looking forward.  There will be a Q&A as well.  Registration is free, with CLE available for $50.
