The Civil Rights Act at 60: Then, Now, and Tomorrow

On Thursday, May 16th, 2024, the NDHS and NJCHS presented The Civil Rights Act at 60: Then, Now, and Tomorrow.   This was a powerful program with a special in person appearance by Judge Thelton Henderson (Ret.), the first Black attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice.  The program also featured highlights from an exclusive interview with Judge Henderson and Judge William Alsup.  The program also included conversations with a panel led by Judge Alsup, US Attorney Ismail “Izzy” Ramsey,  Justice Teri Jackson of the California Court of Appeal, and Judge Henderson about civil rights today and looking forward.
